The 2010 Daytona 200 was once again contested at night while both the Superbike and Supersport classes had double headers. It was a week of close racing with a margin of victory of well under half a second for both Superbike races. Even the Daytona 200 itself featured a solid pack of 7 bikes running together up until the first wave of pit stops, probably a preview of what we can expect this season.

On the photo side of things, 2010 started with a bit of a hiccup having already arrived at the track and finding out there were no photo credentials for me. Fortunately for me, Johnny Rock Page was kind enough to chip in a considerable amount towards getting me a crew pass so I could at least wander around pit lane, which is where I spent most of my time. My brother and professional travel and street photographer Ivan Lo also lent me his Nikon D700 and a 17-35mm f/2.8 lens to help me battle the low light blues of shooting at night.
