New to the AMA calendar for 2009, New Jersey Motorsports Park played host to the last race of the season for the American Superbike and Daytona Sportbike classes. All 4 series raced on the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway, featuring 14 turns (not counting a turn 3 chicane) and a deceivingly long straight. As a spectator the track is reasonably walkable as long as you stay on the inside, with the 1-bridge design making any sort of visit to the outer perimeter quite a trek.
