Initial threats of thunderstorms gave way to mostly sunny skies during the Big Kahuna at Virginia International Raceway. The theme of the weekend was crashes, partly due to allegedly faulty tires according to paddock rumors. Overshadowing it all once again was the great racing with Yamaha sweeping all Daytona Sportbike and American Superbike races, Josh Day clinching the Supersport East championship, and Mat Mladin claiming the big #7.
