Dani Pedrosa almost looks like he's having fun
All weekend long it was all about Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, and Casey Stoner. The world watched as the 3 title contenders battled it out for the top spot on the grid, with Lorenzo coming out on top but not without getting roughed up in the process. Casey Stoner's health has been an issue as of late but his condition seemed to have improved as the weekend went on until he too took a huge spill in qualifying. Come Sunday afternoon the 3 took to the front of the grid, with the uninjured Valentino Rossi the clear favorite to win the race. However, true to the unpredictable nature of racing, it was the unassuming Dani Pedrosa who rocketed into the lead going into turn 2 and was never to be passed again.

And what about the AMA? Well that's a different story...
