The 2009 Daytona 200 taught me one thing: Shooting at night is HARD. I'm still not quite sure I know how it's properly done but hopefully I've gotten some of the obvious mistakes out of the way for next time. In addition to the anticipation of watching motorcycles race at night for the first time, I was also eager to see how the new DMG ruled series would pan out on the Superbike end of things. Neither disappointed, with night racing proving to be quite a spectacular sight and the Superbike race turning out reasonably close with Neil Hodgson back on the podium and Larry Pegram just missing out with a 4th place finish.
