I found out about the Indianapolis MotoGP tire test the day before and took the opportunity to sneak in a bit of practice as well as a preview of the brand new designed-for-MotoGP track layout. Among those present was a Rizla Suzuki-mounted Ben Spies, familiar face Olivier Jacque, and future MotoGP rookie Niccolo Canepa. Plain carbon fiber test bikes easily rank among the most beautiful machines in the world.
