No doubleheader or Superpole this weekend for AMA Pro racing due to shared track time with MotoGP. American Superbike and Daytona Sportbike classes had their first and final qualifying sessions today. More on that after today's Twitter report:

@Tommy24racing so qualifying went well. 0.1 of a second seperated me (7th) and 3rd place. It's rediculous. Going to be such a good race.

Yamaha beefed up their presence in the Daytona Sportbike class this weekend with an extra pair of R6's ridden by Ben Bostrom and Josh Hayes. The talent of the two factory Yamaha riders were evident as they were beaten only by championship points leader Martin Cardenas who took his first ever pole.
