Barber - Car Crashes and More

Windshield

After windshield was replaced
Yes, doesn't look like much at first glance, but the list of observable damage is quite significant:
- broken windshield
- missing passenger side mirror
- front passenger door doesn't unlock/open, window doesn't roll down
- rear passenger door opens funny
- hood no longer closes all the way
- front bumper dented, partially dettached from right side of car
- misc dents/warping/scratches on various parts of the roof
- alignment feels off
*The car actually belongs to my brother Ivan, who unlike me, is an accomplished photographer and doesn't spend a small fortune everytime he goes out on a shoot. Check out his pictures and/or follow him @ivanlo_photo on Twitter. End of plug.
Ok, moving on. I found Barber to be a rather tricky track to shoot at. There are multiple spots on the track that create very similar angles, resulting in a deceptively smaller variety of photos to pick from. I admit it, I'm still stumped. It's been almost a week and I'm still having trouble scraping together enough photos to justify having a Barber gallery.
This being my first time at Barber, I did some very brief reading up on it before the weekend. I was aware of the giant spider, but learned that there are numerous other "unusual sculptures" present as well. I didn't realize just how true that was until I got there and saw these guys:

An odd blend of comical and morbid, to be sure. I was also a bit disappointed to discover that the public didn't have up close and personal access to the aforementioned giant spider, against whom JD Beach foolishly challenged to a race. Probably a good thing, otherwise there will be no shortage of kids climbing every last one of its 8 legs.

As is well known by now, Sunday was briefly interrupted by a bit of unfavorable weather conditions in the form of thunderstorms and a tornado but the show still went on (after the tornado went away). Overall the racing was pretty close, storm or no storm, maybe with one minor exception thanks to this guy:
